Pictures I took of my youngest son's graduation from the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. He graduated in December of 1983. The weather was so cold and snowy in Chicago at that time, they held the graduation ceremony inside a big hanger type building there on the training center which was used for that purpose.

Dual Purpose Guns Three Dual Purpose guns that were located at Preble Field. I think they are 5 inch/54-caliber or 5 inch/38 caliber cannons. They were used against both surface and air targets. |
